Tanjung Aan Beach is one of Lombok's most beautiful beaches, located in the Mandalika area of Central Lombok. It is famous for its wide bay, clear blue water, and most uniquely — two different sand textures. On the east side of the beach, the sand is fine like flour. On the west side, it's shaped like small peppercorn-like grains. This natural phenomenon makes Tanjung Aan unique and a special draw for visitors. The curved bay creates a safe swimming area with relatively calm waves. From Tanjung Aan, Merese Hill rises in the distance — the best sunset spot in Mandalika. Many travelers combine a morning at Tanjung Aan with an afternoon at Merese Hill in one daily itinerary. The beach also has small stalls selling young coconuts and light snacks.
